Sepiasiren
Group exhibition at Cross Art Projects, Kings Cross titled Feminage: The logic of feminist collage 2 August - 15 September 2012.
Sepiasiren is a series of 16 framed mixed media collage works made using paper, fabric, beading, acrylic and the artist's own hair. The series takes its name from a vintage adult magazine of the same name Sepia Sirens, which according to the back cover "catered for the gentleman with more 'exotic' tastes'. The images from the magazine have been photocopied and hand manipulated, painted and collaged to produce new images. The works were accompanied by a limited edition zine of the same name.
