I am privileged to live, learn and work on Gadigal land (so-called Sydney). I acknowledge the Gadigal people of the Eora nation as the Traditional Owners and Custodians of the land, whose cultures are among the oldest living cultures in human history. I pay my respects to the Ancestors and Elders, past, present and emerging.

As a non-indigenous brown skinned woman, a settler of African, Basque and Catalan descent, living on stolen land, I would like to acknowledge all First Nation peoples’ resilience, strength and continuing contributions to our cultural heritage.
